Dr. Perlmutter is a board-certified ophthalmologist who specializes in customized cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and retinal diseases. He performs laser and surgical treatment of cataracts and glaucoma as well as laser and intravitreal injections for medical diseases of the retina, and he maintains a strong interest in the training of ophthalmology residents.

When I first went to see Dr Permutter my eyes was bad felt like I was going blind in the 2yrs of seeing him I see better my pressure in my eyes is alot better the numbers are way down I recommend him to anyone looking for an eye doctor HE'S THE BEST IN ALBANY COUNTY

Horrible wait times. When I went to Clifton Park office and saw the dr to try contacts he had no bedside manner and was rude. I never went back nor will I ever again . Paid $260 dollars for rudeness.
Always very professional and friendly office from the moment I walk in until I walk out the door. All the staff are well trained in providing and instructing me during all the various tests that are required before seeing Dr Perlmutter. I feel I owe the eyesight in my left eye to the excellent care I received some years ago when I was sent to see him late one Friday afternoon. My OD provider discovered i had a torn retina and Dr Perlmutter took me in as an emergency patient and fixed it. If I had to wait until Monday, I could've lost sight in that eye. So I will always be grateful and thankful for Dr Perlmutter letting me be his last patient on a late Friday afternoon!
