One of the best care centers, in our “ophthalmology care desert” area. The staff was very friendly considerate and I could tell very busy with the needed care for Alaskans.

Dr.Kelly and everyone who helped me today were absolutely amazing! The vibes here is as positive as it gets. Definitely a good place to start the day. 💯
Response from the ownerThank you for the kind words about the positive atmosphere and the team. Our practice is dedicated to creating a welcoming environment for everyone. We appreciate the feedback and are committed to maintaining a high standard of care.Arrogant doctors that could care less about you, they wont do anything unless you sign waivers to release them from all responsibility, and know-it-all, arrogant receptionists. And they repeatedly fail to properly submit my prescriptions on top of all that. So done with these entitled people. Terrible. Tolerated this nonsense for 4 or 5 visits but no more. Also they are trying to bill as high as possible and take advantage of you and your insurance as much as possible. Tried to be understanding and kind as I understand there are also some good people doing good work but this place is awful. Also, get a better medical building.

It is always helpful for any business to hear how they can improve.Love this place!!
Response from the ownerThank you for the positive feedback! Our practice is dedicated to providing quality care and we appreciate your kind words. We look forward to continuing to serve our community.A few good points but lots of bad points. The parking lot, when not completely full, has a severe slope at the entrance that tries to scrape your muffler off. Complained about this to them for four months. Not a thing was done. They do speak English which not everywhere does. There is lots of seating. Went in for eye surgery evaluation and the first employee says “You have really good eyesight with glasses, are you SURE you want to have surgery.” Well, I was before I got there. It is old, cramped, strange, located in the worst place in Anchorage (in the winter), and they’re not especially considerate regarding your schedule and/or your time. So, uh, not again.
Response from the ownerWe appreciate the feedback and are committed to improving our services. Concerns about the parking lot and communication are important to us, and we strive to address them promptly. Our practice values clear communication and accessibility for everyone. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.Doctor and procedure I had done was ok. The bad was I called over 3 times never got a call back could not get prescription worked out between pharmacy them and insurance and never ended up getting it. Fortunately my eye didn’t get infected. Would not recommend this place.
Response from the ownerWe appreciate feedback as it helps us improve our services. Our practice is committed to providing quality health care, and we are continuously working on enhancing communication and prescription processes. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.Overall I had a very good experience here, there were a few hiccups where tools or instruments they were using did not work, But I had a sudden onset of blindness and they helped to process me towards the next step. The doctor I saw was quick and efficient, I think that if potentially you were looking to have an office spend significant time drilling down to issues this may not be that type of place it seems more suited to processing as many people as possible for very important issues. Originally they had the states only neuro-ophthalmologist working there, but several months prior to my visit unfortunately they retired or for one reason or another were no longer practicing medicine and so I will have to go outside of Alaska to get continued treatment. Anyhow the testing they performed was more information that I needed for a bigger medical issues that I'm dealing with and they helped to get that done.

I was referred to the practice by an Opthalmologist at another practice. I saw the doctor & received little or no input but received an appointment card for a follow-up on December 30, 2025 at 1:00 pm. I was considering cancelling the appointment & going elsewhere when I received a call from the office wanting to set up an appointment. When I said I already had one scheduled for 1:00 pm on December 30, I was rudely told that I did not and was hung up on although I have a appointment card that clearly states the the 12/30/25 appointment. Given the administrative deficits in the organization, I wouldn't be surprised if I am charged for a December 30, 2025 appointment that I was told I did not have. Needless to say, I'm making arrangements for my opthalmic care elsewhere.
Response from the ownerWe appreciate feedback regarding administrative processes and appointment scheduling. Our practice is committed to providing quality health care and ensuring efficient service. We are continuously working to improve our systems and address any concerns. Our Front Desk team will be reaching out to you to see if we can rectify it in any way.
