Dr. Lebowitz has a professional, genuine, caring approach in his patient care which made me feel supported and gave me confidence in the process. Removing the cataract and implanting a lens took less than 15 minutes and is not painful. I was wearing glasses and using a magnifying glass to read the computer monitor and laptop at work. After the second cataract surgery and lens implant was completed, I had much clearer vision almost immediately. Thank you Dr. Lebowitz.

He is an excellent doctor and my retina specialist & optometrist were blown away when they saw the results of my surgeries. He is warm and kind and followed up within hours of my surgeries. My husband is going to have his taken care of by Dr Lebowitz as well. There is no way we would trust someone other than him with our vision.

A pleasure caring for you.Never had any good experience with doctors and vowed not to see one till I met Dr. Lebowitz who changed my opinion and gave me back the confidence in the medical profession. Dr. Lebowitz surely deserves all the accolades for his expertise in cataract surgery. He cares for his patients. Once you’ve met him, you will find him warm, kind and caring. He is just like one of your good friends. Even for a nervous and fastidious patient like myself, I found myself agreeing with those who reported excellent experience with Dr. Lebowitz. I was so nervous during the cataract surgery, and my blood pressure kept rising. His wonderful nurse calmed me down by gently stroking my hand. I felt so comfortable, as if my Mother was there taking care of me. Just like in a blink of an eye (of course I couldn’t blink at the time), the surgery was done, without any pain or discomfort. I was just over-worried. (Also want to mention that Dr. Lebowitz has a group of competent, thorough, and friendly staff - from the receptionists, the nurses ... to the ODs). Before I knew it, I was home comfortably taking a nap. To my surprise, Dr. Lebowitz called just to make sure that I was all right. What a mensch! Wish more doctors are like him. (Oh, yes, there was also Dr. Wohlhagen, whom I met for my post-op appointment. She was just wonderful). So, if you have eye problems, you have to make an appointment to see him. Yes, the waiting list may be long, but I can reassure you that’s worth it. Everyone at Delaware Ophthalmology Consultants is helpful and nice. Thank you so much, Dr. Lebowitz and all your wonderful staff (wish I could list all their names).

The pre-op instructions were clearly stated; the surgery proceeded precisely as expected; the follow-up instructions were clear and complete; the post-op visits provided all the information necessary. The personal phone calls the day before and the evening of the surgery were particularly helpful and helped to calm my nerves. I am thankful for the recommendation of Dr. Lebowitz by my optician. I am thankful the surgery is behind me now and Dr. Lebowitz's caring doctor/patient personality is exceptional.
