Dr Majmundar is the best! I called around for recommendations and everyone gave us his name and they were correct. Thanks to Dr Majmundar for sharing his expertise!
I had seen Dr. Majmudar a couple times for my keratoconus. Most recently, I was fighting an eye infection that wasn't going away, and got sent to see him as an emergency appointment. I felt like I was 'in the way' and got brushed off. He looked at my eye for no more than 5 seconds and said there's no sign of infection. Meanwhile, my eye is red, slightly swollen and achy. All signs of infection. I was told that it was like that because I HAD an infection. Four months; a 2nd opinion; 2 procedures; and many, many dollars later I am still not fully infection free. Thanks, for not taking the time to really look at my eye, Dr. Majmudar.
Dr Majmudar performed my cornea transplant in 2003. Still doing great. Many eye doctors seen since are really impressed how perfect transplant appears. Dr Sugar who renowned UIC cornea specialist was showing interns the lens implant Dr. Majmuddar performed in 2004, highly impressed. Would highly recommend Dr Majmudar. Patrick Sheahan
Most unprofessional and rude clinic… they don’t care and respect patients time and convenience , they will cancel and change appointments without informing the patient and lie to your face. Please do yourself a big favor and stay away from this unprofessional and unethical practice.
Awful experience with him and his clinic. My mom had a cataract surgery with him. Before the procedure, didn’t come to explain any possible risk of surgery. Had his nurses ask us to sign consent for procedure. We signed thinking he will come explain more. When he came, we asked if he could see my mom for post surgery appointments and he essentially said no stating “sure, if you can find an appointment.” After the surgery, nurse came to give discharge instructions. Nurse said to use eye drops that were prescribed before the surgery. My mom had no clue what they were talking about. Apparently my mom was supposed to be using eye drops prior to surgery. She had no idea and doctor didn’t ask to confirm if she had used drops before taking her for the surgery. When I asked if I could talk to the doctor about these drops and if we could get the prescription now, we were told no because he is busy with other surgeries. No option to wait for him to be free or anything. They asked us to call his office so I did. They told us my mom was told about the drops and prescription was sent to pharmacy. I told them that this is the first my mom is hearing about this. I call the pharmacy and they tell me there is no prescription of it now or ever before. I call the office again, and they state they will send it now. This time I get a message right away about the prescription being sent. Overall, the whole experience felt awful like none of them actually cared about my mother and more about how many surgeries could be done.
My brother in law was seen by this MD. He does not care about his patients, is not considerate, Does not want to listen to his patients and was in a rush.

Had a wonderful experience with Dr. Majmudar. He completed cataract surgery on both of my eyes, two weeks apart. The lenses he selected are giving me unbelievably clear vision, and I see clearly at distance, at computer distance and up close except for very small print. It is a miracle! I am so happy with my outcome. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Majudar!!!
