Best place for cataract surgery
REVIEW HAS BE EDITED AFTER INITAL POSTING **Disappointing customer service after a good procedure** I had LASIK done here two years ago and was happy enough with the results that I referred my sister, who also had her surgery done at this clinic. At the time of my own procedure, I received a sunglasses coupon but never got around to using it. When my sister recently used her coupon and got a great price on her pair, it reminded me that I still had mine, so I decided to check whether I could use it too. When I asked, I was told it was too late and that the coupon had "expired." What bothered me more than the answer itself was how I was treated when asking about it. The staff member I spoke with was condescending, essentially implying I should have known better than to assume a coupon might not have an expiration date, even stating that they might have to change that going forward. It wasn't the "no" that was the problem; it was how it was delivered. I had also been planning to schedule a LASIK consultation for another family member here, but after this interaction, I've decided to look elsewhere. It's disappointing, because the clinic told me they were grateful for my referral, yet this experience made me second-guess recommending them again. Good outcomes matter, but so does how you treat returning and referring patients. I'd suggest the front desk staff receive some coaching on tone, because this one interaction undid a lot of goodwill. EDITED REVIEW As of July 28th, staff at Berkeley have since reached out regarding my experience. After some discussion, I was allowed the original discount of $250, which was the reason I had initially reached out for. And while I am grateful for the discount, I am leaving my review at four stars because this entire hassle could have been avoided if I was allowed the discount when I initially reached out. Also, it's not like I randomly walked in there two years later looking for $250 off. The only reason I was there was because I referred my sister.

I would give 9/10 for my experience here; from the warm reception to the caring surgical team (Ashleigh, Heather) and Dr. Anderson who made me feel incredibly comfortable during the LASIK process. Cindy explained everything to me very thoroughly and Alexa helped me post op very warmly. They provide a sunglasses coupon which is nice but must be used within an allotted time frame or it becomes a bit of a hassle, otherwise great experience. Hey Thank you to the whole team and I would definitely recommend anyone here!
