There horrible to get a hold of,it took me 4 months. And another doctor for my husband to see. To have the same test. I will not recommend this place at all. Said they faxed my papers to the Glaucoma center,never received them. So redoing the test and gonna send them the bill. Also call BBB. And to find out he doesn't even need any kind of surgury at all. After they said he needed cataract and Glaucoma surgery. Please get a second option if this office is your only option
I confirmed an appointment 5 days prior with a text message from the practice. I got a call the day before the appointment that they needed to cancel because Dr Bollinger (very good) left the practice a month ago. Something very wrong is going on with this practice. The person I talked with said that Dr Jackson is the only Doctor at the practice. Very unreliable place based on 3 years of experience with Jacksoneye.
Never ever go here. This practice has fallen apart. Terrible experience. It used to be good when they were in lake villa. Now it’s terrible Edited. Do not go here. We are considering consulting an attorney for medical malpractice. Not returning calls to patients or other doctors. What has happened here????
His office cancelled my first appointment (6/22/26) about one hour before the scheduled time. I made another appointment for 7/15/26 and that just got cancelled again one day before with no remaining appointments available for at least the next month. I had my cataracts done there a few years back. I'm tired of getting jerked around by this place and going elsewhere.
They never answers the phone. I have been trying to reshceudle my appointment for two days.
I have know idea what has happened to this practice. I am reading all the reviews and I cannot believe how unprofessional this practice is. My friend had an appointment on Thursday 6-25-2026 at 3:00 we arrive and there are some people standing out front from another office and there is a very unprofessional sign posted on the door. We have moved in terrible writing and giving the new address we were never informed. I tried calling and just kept getting voice mail. We drove to the new location which is now much further and arrived at 3:30 went to the door sign said open til 4:30 and it was closed. I called and expressed how upset we were. It is Wednesday July 1st and I never heard anything back from them. I just recently called and the same message saying that their hours are til 4:30 I called at 3:00 and then saying they are closed for the day. I have been in the optical business for 40 years and have never seen anything like this in a Drs. Practice. I hope that Dr. Bollinger has landed some place where she will be appreciated we liked her and feel she is a very good optometrist. I have never written a review like this and shame on Dr. Jackson I will make sure I tell everyone to never go to your practice you are a disgrace to the profession.
My elderly Dad had an appointment today to check his glaucoma. He goes every 6 months for a checkup. My family has been customers for over 25 years. This was a reschedule from a previously changed appointment supposedly due to a surgery. Showed up early today at Lake Villa. Signs on the doors stating the business moved to Grayslake, 25 minutes away. That's going to be too far to drive. No call, email or text stating the business has moved. Terrible way to treat customers. No wonder all reviews are now negative. Pray Dr. Bolinger found a great practice to be a part of. She was a spectacular Dr.
Dr Jackson screwed up my eye from surgery so bad I had to find a new doctor. He is terrible-run from this place.
Our family has been coming to Jackson Eye for over 20 years. The pharmacy has been sending requests for a refill of my glaucoma eye drops FOR OVER ONE WEEK. We've left voicemails at Jackson Eye, then yesterday they finally felt like answering the phone. Promised to send the refills right away BUT STILL NO REFILLS today. Answering machine on again today - all day. Someone made a mistake when we had our appts in late October and they never sent in my prescriptions, we didn't realize the pharmacy was filling from older scripts so we didn't know there was a problem. We also tried driving over to Jackson Eye but when we got there it was closed. They relocated. We never got any notification that Jackson Eye was moving. edit: I ended up getting a month prescription from my primary care Dr along with a requested referral to another eye specialist. Two days later Dr Jackson sent in my refills. It's a shame that some bad apples in the office are dragging down this practice.
Worst place to go.. I liked Dr Bolinger but found out she is no longer at that practice.. hope she found a more competent Dr.s practice..
