Dr. Navin Tekwani is a St. Louis native and board-certified ophthalmologist known nationally for his excellence in eye care. He serves as Chief of Ophthalmology at Mercy South Hospital and sits on the board of Gateway Surgery Center.
Since joining his father in practice in 2002, Dr. Tekwani has brought advanced diagnostic technologies and a patient-first approach to the region. He has served as a Principal Investigator in numerous FDA clinical trials, advancing the future of ophthalmic care. Dedicated to service, he participates annually in Mission Cataract USA, donating surgeries to patients in need.
He is also affiliated with multiple professional organizations including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the St. Louis Ophthalmologic Society. Dr. Tekwani has partnered with Regional Eyecare for surgical co-management since 2017, and sees patients monthly at their Winghaven location.

Navin Tekwani and his father have been my eye doctors for 22 years. They are wonderful, caring men. I love how they don’t rush in and out the examining room they spend time with you answer and any fear you might have 10 years ago. I moved 45 minutes away from their office, I will continue to make that drive to see Dr. Tekwani.

I have had great care over the years. Recently cataract surgery by Dr Navin. I would love to stay with him but he is seeing eye surgery patients only. Now I see Dr Jones! A wonderful team of doctors.
