My father had the eye procedure done and is having problems with his vision. They went back to see dr Omar and he said if you had spent the $4000 from the start I would have put the best lens in and you would have no problems. He has a very bad bedside manner and would never recommend him to anyone.

I'm a senior citizen & had cataract surgery 2 yrs ago. Dr. Almallah had been our Dr. When his practice was in Barnegat years back. I trusted his experience. I can only skim the surface of what Ive been thru Now seeing him at Sight MD. My 1st visit hearing my interest in premium lens, not wanting to depend on glasses, he only recommended 1 lens, Clearview 3 without explaining anything further, just Cost, then gave a pamphlet to read at home. He was in a rush. Only lens he recommended didn't provide premium cost I paid for Clear distance, intermediate & up close vision. I was left with blurred vision all 3 levels & worst a blind spot in left eye. Other visits explaining my problems he became rude, abrupt, out of line accusing me of nothing but complaining & saying blind spot would go away in time. It Never did. I left crying on few visits. He tried Lasix & Yag procedure that didn't clear my problems & now have extremely dry eyes as well. Then he Recommends the PRK procedure. However after reading & extensive research i decided not to risk any further problems or damage to my eyes. I requested a LENS exchange but told not equip to perform that kind of surgery. I now was referred to another Dr. For that kind of procedure. Problem being I can't afford spending more than I already paid. I've never been treated as unprofessional as Dr. Almallah. Highly recommend going elsewhere.

Omar Almallah is a hack. His staff is wonderful but he is arrogant and does minimal work, minimal vision evaluation, and follow up procedures to correct really poor results did very little to improve what had been my strong dominant eye. He clearly over books as wait times are lengthy too. Very dissatisfied with his communication skills. If you do use him I guarantee he will prompt you to be “happy” by declaring you have “better than 20/20 vision now!” after a minimal follow up eye test. He also had an annoying habit of referring to me as “buddy”. Skip the chummy stuff and focus on your job. My advice: Choose another doctor.

Dr. Almallah and his entire staff were absolutely amazing. Every person is kind, smiling, and seems to genuinely enjoy their job. They go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and do an exceptional job in all facets of the practice. Within 24 hours of my Lasik was able to open my eyes in the morning and see the snow on the branches outside my bedroom window. I had never even seen the branches before! Amazing!

I want to share my deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Amalah regarding my eye surgery. When I first consulted him, he strongly recommended replacing my eye lens with a multifocal lens, assuring me it was a perfected procedure with no issues in his other patients. His arrogance and condescension were apparent from the beginning. He even went as far as suggesting cosmetic procedures for my face, including lip injections, fillers, and eyelid surgery, which was unprofessional and unnecessary. I should have trusted my instincts and walked away. The surgery was performed in January 2024, but within two months, my vision remained blurry, and it felt like I was looking through a fishbowl. Dr. Amalah brought me back in to “flip” the lens, calling the issue rare and attributing it to “the way my brain works.” He made me feel as though I was the problem, not the surgery. After the adjustment, my vision was still poor plagued by double vision, streaks, and blurriness. Every appointment with Dr. Amalah was a nightmare, requiring a two-hour wait regardless of the time of day. With an hour-long drive each way, each visit turned into a 5 ½-hour ordeal, only to hear him dismiss my concerns as being related to my brain. He then suggested laser surgery to clear the blur, which only resulted in terrible floaters, particularly noticeable in daylight. He assured me this would resolve in a few weeks, but six months later, I’m still struggling. While waiting in his office, I spoke with other patients experiencing similar issues, which made me even more frustrated. It was clear this wasn’t an isolated problem. Eventually, I switched to Dr. Birdi within the same practice. Dr. Birdi was everything Dr. Amalah was not—compassionate, patient, and genuinely committed to helping me. He performed an additional procedure, costing me another $1,000, which he discounted due to my troubles, on top of the $5,500 I paid for the initial surgery with Dr. Amalah. While my vision has slightly improved, I still deal with floaters, light sensitivity, and streaks, especially when driving at night. This entire process has been an emotional and financial drain. I am devastated by the outcome and regret trusting Dr. Amalah with my vision. While I am grateful for Dr. Birdi’s efforts to help, the damage caused by Dr. Amalah’s arrogance and poor care will be a lasting reminder of this traumatic experience. I would not recommend Dr. Amalah to anyone seeking eye care. Please, if you’re considering eye surgery, choose your doctor carefully.
