About Dr. Price Kloess
Dr. Kloess specializes in LASIK procedures, laser cataract surgery, refractive lens exchange, intraocular lens (IOL) surgery, and corneal transplantation. He provides consultations at Alabama Vision Center and also serves as a clinical assistant for the Eye Hospital in Birmingham. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a former President of the Alabama Academy of Ophthalmology.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and completed his cornea fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Kloess has been married for over 35 years and is a member of Mountain Brook Community Church. He enjoys golf, traveling, and spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Dr. Kelsey McCluskey at Alabama Vision Center was amazing! After an accident with my contact lens solution, I was treated with empathy and urgency from the very first phone call. Dr. McCluskey and the entire team were kind, attentive, and played an essential role in my recovery. I felt truly cared for and am very grateful for their excellent and compassionate care.
If you want eye trouble forever, and no help from those doctors, then that’s the place to go. Had trouble with my left eye from day one. Called and got…It will get better. Nope, it has gotten worse. Been to another clinic and tried to help, still in constant agitation. Now I will go to another doctor, and try to get this thing out of my eye. The lens has never been right. I had it done April, 2024, and I am still in agony. If you have problems with your lenses after the doctors there are through, you won’t get any help or satisfaction. Good luck.
