Dr. Liu was fantastic throughout my EVO ICL experience. She’s an expert in what she does, but what I appreciated the most was how straightforward and honest she was about expectations, potential (although minimal) risk, and her confidence in the results. She’s a straight shooter, explained everything clearly, set realistic expectations, and never made me feel pressured. I was slightly nervous going into the procedure (as anyone would be - its eye surgery after all), but her professionalism, experience, and calm demeanor really helped put me at ease. The office staff are also all top tier. I’m extremely happy with my experience and would highly recommend Dr. Liu to anyone considering ICL surgery - I even recommended my husband to this practice.

Dr. Liu and the entire staff are absolutely amazing!!! Words cannot describe how grateful and thankful I am to have found her (‘: From the moment I walked in, Katie and Jocelyn were always so friendly and welcoming! Lawrence and Verenis have helped check my eyes during my exams and they were so kind! I had EVO ICL and it has been life changing. Truly the best surgeon I could ever put my trust into. Listen, if you're on the fence about doing an eye procedure, just go to Beach Cities Laser and do it - IT IS SO WORTH IT. You won't find another team as great or as experienced. It's been nearly a year since my SMILE procedure, and I can confidently say that I still have zero regrets. I had been considering lasik for over five years, but was terrified of the idea of lasers and anything near my eyes. However, after my sister saw Dr. Liu and after a consult of my own, I decided to take the plunge and did the SMILE procedure. The consult was very thorough and she walked me through each option, and provided a recommendation based on her evaluation. Since she offers essentially every type of procedure, unlike some other offices, there was no pressure. Frankly, I still walked into the OR incredibly nervous because I naturally have a lot of anxiety, but Dr. Liu's extensive experience, her soothing deep voice, and the whole Beach Cities team made the whole process easy. I felt silly in the end about my anxiety. Afterwards, I went home, took a nap, and was fully recovered and ready to go! It was just wild to me to be able to wake up in the middle of the night and go to the bathroom or kitchen without glasses. I could actually see my dogs in the dark, before accidentally yeeting them off the bed when I pulled my blanket off, or accidentally stepping on them! And packing for trips! I never need to pack extra contacts, solution, eye drops, or glasses ever again! I can actually pack light now, and I can wake up and just SEE. I lied at the beginning about having zero regrets. My only regret is not doing this sooner!

I'd spent a while researching laser vision correction and called around to a few practices before booking, and she was the one I kept coming back to. She's been performing SMILE longer than almost anyone on the West Coast, and that depth of experience is what made the trip worth it. The screening was the most thorough eye workup I've had. I came in half expecting a push toward whatever procedure made the most money. Instead she walked me through my actual corneas, explained why SMILE made sense for my prescription, and was honest about what each option could and couldn't do for me. She answered every question I had, including a few I didn't know to ask. On the day of the procedure she talked me through each step as it happened, which kept me calm. The whole thing was over in minutes. Recovery was easier than I expected. By the next morning, I could see across the room without squinting, and I was back to normal within a day or two. I'm now at 20/15, better than 20/20! If you're in LA or willing to travel like I was, and you're weighing SMILE or LASIK, she's worth seeing before you decide anywhere else. The experience and the care are both incredible.
