I am 71 and have complicated vision since I first started wearing glasses at age 9. I am a designer as my profession and work closely with my computer screen for my work. At my last visit to Dr. Horn, I asked for a glasses prescription for both progressive lenses and reading glasses (not bi-focals, but a single lens prescription for viewing my laptop). Dr. Horn talked down to me as if I were stupid and lectured me in an elevated voice about me not knowing how progressive lenses worked and said that I didn't need two prescriptions. I said I would like two anyway because that's what works best for me. He stated that he was the professional and that I came to him for help and to listen to him. Well OK, I did go to him for help, and they have a sign on their front desk that says if you would like a glasses prescription they will add that charge on to your eye exam. I don't know why that upset him so much, but I truly don't appreciate being talked to like that by anyone. Also, the receptionist called me the morning of my appointment and asked me if I could come in half an hour early so she could leave earlier that day. I said sure, and arrived before the new appointment time. No one in the office was told I was there early and I sat there until my regular scheduled appointment. My time is just as valuable as anyones. One positive thing about my last visit, was that the technician, Ryan, was really great to work with and I felt was very professional.

As I aged I had to wear 3.0 readers / and forget about driving safely at night I consulted with Dr Horn and learned both my eyes had cataracts. He offered a new lens that will give me near and far vision, but explained I may need readers up Close. I was nervous but I did it.. the most painless and fast surgery I ever had.. here we are now, 30 day post op and I have better than 20/20 and I can see and manipulate the smallest of wire. I also see no long distance perfectly and clearly!! No glasses needed / not up close nor far !! Unreal. It’s like I’m 20 again. I also see such vibrant colors I cannot give you justice in explaining my vision…. I highly recommend Dr. Horn and loved the fact that from start to finish it was always and only him that I saw / including the surgery.
