I had a good experience at the Lacey location for my cataract surgery...very professional. Then they sent me to the Lily Road location to fill my prescription for glasses, which turned out bad. I wanted 2 pairs of glasses... one for every day use and one to use when I played the piano. I was never told by any doctor that my left eye will never be able to see better than 20/50 until my 2nd visit there to have my prescription re-evaluated because I couldn't see clearly. And the doctor did not re-check my vision. I was told this by the optometry person. And my piano playing glasses turned out to be the same prescription as my naked eyes (so virtually no prescription). I needed to have that changed to work at a computer distance. On my 2nd visit there, I had a hugely inflamed stye in my eye. The doctor sent my prescription to my old pharmacy, even though she asked which pharmacy to send it to. After 2 trips to the pharmacy, who did not have the order, we called Clarus to see where it was. Of course, we could not talk to a real person, so I had to leave a message. I got a message on my phone telling me what had happened and that my new pharmacy was contacted. After waiting another 2 hours, we called them, and they had NOT yet received the order. We had our new pharmacy call our old pharmacy to get the order from them. I should have had the medication by 10:30 am but didn't receive it until 6:30 pm. A whole day wasted while my stye grew dramatically during that time. Would I recommend the Lily location or Clarus to get prescriptions filled or medical problems with the eye? No.
Unprofessional, dismissive, and zero aftercare. Left with permanent damage. I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Dr. Aaker. After dealing with a persistent eye issue, I was rushed into an invasive surgery with him. He spent almost no time with me before or after the procedure, treating me like an assembly-line inconvenience rather than a patient. Worse yet, he completely failed to provide basic aftercare instructions or ensure I had a follow-up appointment scheduled to check on my healing. When the surgery failed and the exact same issue returned a year later, his attitude was entirely unprofessional and dismissive. Instead of investigating why his procedure didn't work, he seemed openly annoyed that I had to return for the same problem, showing a complete lack of accountability and treating my recurring symptoms as if they were my fault. He then proceeded to perform the exact same surgery a second time, which ultimately left my eye even more damaged. Because of his rushed care and complete lack of proper post-operative tracking, I am now left with permanent scar tissue damage and chronic inflammation in my eyelid that I am having to see a different specialist to correct. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for a surgeon who provides standard medical aftercare, stands by their work, and treats patients with basic respect.

Best experience possible for eye surgery. Everyone was wonderful! Professional and caring.
Response from the ownerThank you so much for the glowing review, Mary Kay! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and look forward to seeing you again in the future!I don’t actually know where to start. Every appt is a 3-hr endeavor, regardless of the reason. Don't bother trying to speak to someone on the phone. I tried over a 2-week period and was disconnected 6 times. My husband came here because of glaucoma. He ended up with a detached retina and virtually no vision in the other eye. Basically blind. You figured it out.

Triage took care of my dry eye concern & mailed out a package of eyedrops (I live 50 miles away) to use while a prescription was prepared. I got the package on May 14, a mere 30 hours later!! THAT is good customer service. Thank you!
