Thank you for choosing Rudd Vision!After months of researching premium intraocular lenses and surgeons, I chose Dr. Jay Rudd at Rudd Vision for bilateral lens replacement surgery, and I’m glad I did. I’m a demanding patient — the kind who reads the literature, asks about the optical mechanics, and notices a quarter-diopter change. Dr. Rudd and his team met that head-on. The pre-operative consultation was thorough and unhurried. We discussed lens options in real depth, settled on Vivity EDOF lenses, and planned a deliberate micro-monovision target — dominant eye set for distance, non-dominant eye biased slightly for near — tailored to how I actually use my eyes. Nothing felt one-size-fits-all. Both surgeries, a week apart, went smoothly, and the results speak for themselves. My dominant right eye came out plano at 20/20, and binocularly I’m 20/25 at distance and J2 at near, all uncorrected. I handle the vast majority of daily tasks without glasses, which is exactly what I’d hoped for. What impressed me most was the follow-up. Like many patients I had some early bumps — light sensitivity and a persistent foreign-body sensation in one eye. Instead of brushing it off, the practice tracked the inflammation as it resolved and correctly identified conjunctivochalasis as the real cause rather than guessing. That diagnostic diligence is the difference between a practice that simply performs the procedure and one that follows through. I’ve since transitioned to Dr. Day for ongoing care and have been just as well looked after. If you want a surgeon who will engage with your questions seriously, plan precisely, and stay attentive afterward, I recommend Rudd Vision without hesitation.

Did you know he was awarded one of the top cataract surgeons in the US in 2024? And I agree wholeheartedly.. his skill as a surgeon is beyond outstanding. The staff at the clinic are professional, supportive, and compassionate. They meet your needs regardless of the various concerns. Anxious? Questions? They have you covered. I’m pretty squeamish about my eyes, but there was no pain. Honest. There is an amazing pill for anxiety that should come in six packs. But it is marvelous. The technology of the equipment is upscale. Dr Rudd sincerely cares about his patients and their satisfaction. From the moment this congenial energetic physician enters the room to the personal phone call after surgery just to check on you.
