I would not recommend them if you value your time. Surely if you sit in a room waiting for over an hour someone might update you or start telling other folks that are checking in (there were 12 behind me) that they are running behind but nothing. I can understand some days you can be short staffed, I can understand things can become delayed but as a common courtesy please let those who you are serving know. It's an absolute disrespect to not know. Once I had sat for an hour waiting I asked how much longer approximately and how much time my lasik consult would take and I was told it would be "at least another 20-30 minutes just to go back". I left. I will not come back and if you value your time you should not go there either. Shame.
Prior review from 2022: I had LASIK with Dr. Sylvester in 2019, wanted to get a check up to make sure everything was still good. I didn't have any of the scheduling problems that the other commenters seem to have. They were able to fit me in the next day. Dr. Sylvester is still the great guy that I remember 3 years ago and I'll continue to see him for other eye exams. The ladies up front were great and Jamie the technician was great too. Update 2026: I have learned over the last several years that I should not have been considered a good candidate for LASIK. I was upfront with Dr. Sylvester about being diagnosed with Sjogrens Syndrome, and that by itself should have disqualified me, but he had me do Restaisis eye drops instead prior to having the surgery. I now have nerve pain in my left eye, residual burriness, headaches, and scar tissue pain that I will have for the rest of my life. I wish he was honest with me and turned me away. It seems like he just wanted the money.
I had a scheduled appointment at 11:00 am and showed at 10:45. At 1:00 pm I still was sitting and waiting for the doctor. What a waste of time, and they could have cared less. Plenty of doctors out there that respect your time to put up with this kind of disrespect.
My husband did lasik with Dr Sylvester back on December 20th of 2020. He went from blindness to 20/15 within minutes. We can’t be more thankful for the end result and wonderful experience. I’m not sure what it will be the problem with waiting, (we wait on most of Dr offices appointments anyways!) I don’t remember to be waiting that much. People complain about silly things instead of reviewing the results and excellent service provided. My husband still 20/15 and we can’t be more pleased.
Everyone there is nice and I always feel welcomed when coming in for a visit!
Amazing experience - 20/20 long distance vision post cataract surgery. Wonderful to see like this again.
