Always look forward to going to my appointment, the staff is always friendly and helpful to make sure that any questions are answered. They are very thoughtful and caring about doing the check in & doing the preliminary testing. Dr Nilsen always gives his 100% attention, ask lots of questions and always does a very thorough exam, and always will to answer any questions or concerns you may have.
Dr.Nilson's the best!He knows about people's eyes & what's happening to them!He'll also recommend that his patients have surgery if needed,but I don't!Will keep on going to him every year for my eye exams!Keep up the great work & will recommend new patients to him!
Excellent care. Good experience with Dr. Nilson. Cataracts were removed and specialty IOL inserted. Exceptional care!!!!!
I came to this facility to have cataract surgery. I have medical PTSD, so I was worried about being sedated and wanted to have general anesthesia so I wouldn't have to go through my PTSD being triggered. They agreed to it and we scheduled surgery. I called them multiple times to make sure that it was in my record that I would be having general anesthesia, and they NEVER put it in my chart. I even contacted the surgical center to make sure that they knew that I wanted general anesthesia, and they agreed that they would do that. Once I got to the surgical center, there was nothing in my chart about general anesthesia. There's a whole other mess of a story with that surgical center, but I won't go into that here. I recommend that you go somewhere else to get services for your vision, they won't respect you here.
I trust NUEC for my eye care annual check up. The wait has typically been a half hour behind my appt so I just plan on it when I make my appt. The office seemed to struggle determining whether to charge me a co-pay this year. I know insurance changes often but they are a Selecthealth network provider and I am on a Selecthealth Medicare Advantage plan so it should be easy to see what my benefit is when visiting. I am hoping for a prompt refund of my $20 co-pay charged for my 0 dollar co-pay benefit for this service. Otherwise, they are great staff and I look forward to seeing them next year. Follow up a couple years later… They have really made a lot of improvements that make the visit to their practice such a pleasant experience now. I can’t think of anything that they need to improve on and I highly recommend them to everyone for the best eyecare one can recieve. They are wonderful!
All of the staff are attentive to your needs and treat you with kindness, respect, and like they really care about your needs. I have been pleased with their care and will continue to see Dr Karren.
