Dr. Wolsey is such a talented and friendly doctor. From my first visit with her I felt like we were already good friends. Her staff is quick and on the ball with contacting your insurance for coverage options. On the consult visit, Dr. Wolsey already knew, when entering my exam room, what my insurance coverage would be for the different options of inter-ocular lenses that could be placed for cataract replacement surgery. Big decisions could be made on the spot with confidence and accuracy with your insurance coverage and bottom line. Dr. Wolsey was thorough in explaining which lenses she recommended for me personally based on my eye shape, eye prescriptions and how it could benefit me with my occupation going forward. When I had a question about my choice a few days later, Dr. Wolsey returned my call herself to discuss further our decisions for my permanent lens that would be placed 10 days later. I just finished having my second eye repaired by Dr. Wolsey yesterday. Both surgeries were seamless procedures that took a matter of minutes to complete. Anyone needing a Cataract Specialist in their future, Dr. Darcy Wolsey is a fantastic choice! I can’t thank her enough for the professionalism she shows, the talent she has to share and the fun and cheerful personality she emulates. I love her spunkiness. It’s refreshing. I had a friend of mine (not a Wolsey patient) tell me that her sight after cataract surgery took days to settle. Not mine. My sight was clearing the same evening of surgery. I was just waiting for the dilation to wear off from surgery. The next morning my sight was perfectly clear. She’s not only my eye specialist now, she a friend. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Wolsey and the staff at Apex Vision. I've been a patient for over 20 years and have always found Dr. Wolsey to be attentive and patient with my questions and concerns. I appreciate the care that she and the staff show, and that I am not rushed out of my appointment in 15 minutes so she can meet her patient quota for the day. She's the best!

I saw Dr Woolsey several years ago for cataract surgery. At the time my insurance would not pay for the overall lens allowing lens which worked for far AND near. I had to choose closeup or distance. I chose distance as that was my problem. I had no problem with closeup vision. It wasn’t until my follow-up visit that it was discovered the wrong lens was put in. The lens was for close up not distance. So I could see close up but not distance. When this was discovered in her office in follow-up she said “oh well, you can see better close up!” I could always see close up. I was in the process of moving out of state so had to let it go. And I found out, once I lens has been put in, you cannot have the surgery done again to correct putting in wrong lens. So my vision was ruined forever. So unfortunately I don’t have a good impression of Dr Woolsey. I am getting the other eye done next week and hopefully that surgery performed by a different doctor will be more successful and he will have a much better attitude about his performance with my eye and put in the correct lens. Mostly I just remember here attitude about putting in the wrong lens. Her remarks of “oh well, you’ll see better closeup” when that was not my request for which lens to use. She took no responsibility or accountability in her mistake. She blew it off as no big deal.
