Performed cataract surgery on both eyes. One eye I can't see out of and have only seen her twice after my surgery. She suggested a retina specialist, who cleared me of any issue with my retina. Came back and never saw her again, instead I was seen by a corneal specialist, who has since left the practice. Then was told to see their optometrist Dr. Michele Kane who didn't know what else to do. Instead she was going to reach out to the corneal specialist who left the practice. She said she would call me back the following week and nothing. I called back leaving several messages for her and the office manager and no call back. Finally 2 weeks later one of the office tech/assistants gave me a call and mentioned something about hard contact lenses or seeing another corneal specialist. I don't understand how Dr. San Filippo didn't have the empathy to reach back out to me and assure my medical needs are addressed. Instead I'm using steroid drops without knowing if/when to stop and can't see well out of one eye. I'm now seeing yet another corneal specialist who mentioned I should have never had multi-focal lenses when I had already had lasik. This was mentioned several times to SanFilippo who said it was OK. Now I have extremely blurred vision and a droopy eyelid - which I've also been told is due to the surgery. Do your homework before allowing a doctor to perform cataract surgery. This has been the worst experience.
Dr San Filippo and her staff provided a first class experience during recent visits and subsequent cataract surgery. Taking the time to answer questions and explain the process thoroughly is a big deal to me. At no time did I feel rushed or the feeling that Dr San Filippo wanted get in and out. Great experience and would highly recommend!

Bad Bad. Had cataract surgery with lens implants. Now have blurred vision. Now am told that 90% of patients have to have another procedure. Was never told that. Saw a retinal specialist, was told no problems. After 2 calls to Dr. San Filippo finally was told ok to have another procedure. Don't trust Dr san Filippo. Can't talk to her, only assistant. STAY AWAY
I have been a patient at Mid-Ohio Eye for more than a decade (maybe two!), first as a patient of Dr. Koelling, and more recently, since developing glaucoma, as a patient of Dr. San Filippo. She has successfully performed two laser surgeries and one cataract removal on me, with very good results. I have always received top-notch eye care from both the doctors, and the techs. I have recommended their practice, without reservation, to many friends and family members. Great practice!
Doctor San Filippo and the entire surgical team were fantastic. The procedure was painless and the results are great. I have better vision without glasses than I have had for several years with glasses at a distance. I still require reading glasses but I fully expected that would be the case. Great job!
I can only see up close and can't even read street signs or some things on my big screen tv and I see double traffic lights and after I spent $4000 to get upgraded lens. All she did was recommend another specialist. I am so disappointed with this outcome and nothing i can do about it. They never take you on time so plan on waiting half hour and even longer wait at the eye surgery. I definitely would never recommend her
