Dr. Hardten is a board-certified ophthalmologist and founding partner of Minnesota Eye Consultants, recognized as one of the nation’s leaders in the treatment of the cornea, external disease, anterior segment, and in cataract, refractive, and laser surgery, as well as in research and education. He lectures throughout the world on refractive surgery and research and has published hundreds of textbook chapters, articles, and abstracts.

Dr Hardten is awesome. He is so very knowledgable and kind. Years ago i had a problem with a eye surgery from another doctor in another state where i live that did not go well. I was referred to Dr Hardten and he basically saved my vision. I will be forever grateful for his skill in saving my cornea. I highly recommend him!

I had several tests done before seeing Dr.Hardten. I couldn't believe the thoughness of them. Dr. Hardten was excellent, patient and kind in explaining everything to me. He was truthful in his guidance and advise and very patient with all my questions. I trust him to do my future surgeries!

Dr. Hardten is a remarkable ophthalmologist. He performed surgery on my eyes more than 30 years ago, and I still see him for follow-up exams every few years.
