Dr. Balz and staff were sooo thorough and kind! Extremely grateful for this team. Dr. pennick is also amazing. All the techs are kind and thorough. Wont go anywhere else!
They do all kinds of tests and exam but don't really tell you what's wrong. You leave there not knowing much more than when you went in. Never got a clear answer, and they booked a followup visit with the wrong doctor, who basically just looked at me and said everything's ok without really doing anything bc he was not the right doctor. i am NOT impressed with this place
The front office staff is rude. You can hear them complaining about patients clearly while waiting in the waiting room. The asian girl working up front is rude, has no communication skills, when checking out she would interrupt when trying to ask a question and instead of going back to ask the nurse to confirm a note the doctor wrote she just blew us off and even proceeded to try and argue with us for no reason. She had no clue what she was doing. Don't use Dr. Rojas, he is rude to his patients. My dad is 80 years old and doesn't comprehend stuff very well right away but he will eventually understand and he was trying to rush him and getting annoyed with him and needs to stops being so cocky and get an attitude check. That whole building needs an attitude check. Don't go here!
Horrible customer service! Front desk staff is incredibly rude and unorganized. Dr. Wooten left and they never contacted us to let us know. We drove an hour for our annual appointment just to find out upon arrival that there was no one to see us. Dr. Wooten was fabulous, but it does not appear that anyone else here cares about patients.
All they care about is getting your money. Even if you are elderly on Social Security they dunn you for outrageous copays
Dr Penick is top notch. His assurance, helping to relieve anxiety by thoroughly explaining things in such an easy way to understand. He always has a smile. He did surgery for each eye (cataracts) and I feel like I have brand new eyes/vision! Couldn't say enough about him as a Doctor. Everyone that works there has a great personality and makes you feel comfortable. Highly recommend.
Response from the ownerThank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're so pleased to hear that you had a wonderful experience. If I could give zero stars, I would. I have never encountered such rude front desk staff. I’ve been coming here since Dr Brainard days but it is time now to find a new doctor. The office manager and entire front office staff needs to be released and start all over.

Our office can be reached at (501)664-5354.I was referred to Dr. Penick III by a cousin. Having near blindness over the past several years and having never been to an Ophthalmologist surgeon, I was apprehensive. I knew I needed Cataracts removed from both eyes. And I had worn glasses since age 12. I could no longer drive at night nor in the rain. It was hard to see in daytime. Dr. Penick was kind, spent time with me and gave me options. Of course, I wanted the best results possible. The cost was explained to the penny. My insurance and I paid for both surgeries up front. Surgery was a breeze, both times! No problems, no issues and no monies owed. This is a miracle for me. I no longer need glasses at all! And I see clearly with great enhancement. I will not go to anyone else. Dr. Penick and his staff is now my annual eye doctor. THANK YOU FOR YOUR GIFT! I CAN SEE!
Response from the ownerThank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are so happy to hear about your amazing results. That's it! I will never use Dr Rozas again. He is snarky, extremely rude, and arrogant. He has no bedside manner. I was trying to ask him a question about glasses in general and he kept interrupting me until I just gave up. I made sure to tell management and to my astonishment, she laid her hand on my back and told me I wasn't alone.
