Dr. Serrhel Adams Jr brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and academic achievement to his role as President and Physician at Northwest Arkansas Retina Associates. He earned his medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2002 and completed an internship in Medicine/Pediatrics at Ruby Memorial Hospital. His ophthalmology residency training included Kansas University Medical Center and Tulane University, followed by a fellowship in retinal surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Adams has held numerous academic and clinical positions, including Assistant Professor at the University of Florida’s Department of Clinical and Health Psychology. He has served as a staff ophthalmologist at Malcom Randall VAMC and University of Florida Shands Hospital, focusing on general ophthalmology and retina care. In addition to his extensive medical background, Dr. Adams holds a Ph.D. in psychology from Louisiana State University, demonstrating his comprehensive approach to patient care. He is affiliated with Northwest Medical Center-Springdale, where he offers surgical and inpatient ophthalmology services to patients throughout Arkansas.
