Dr. Kris Gillian, M.D., is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over two decades of experience serving patients in the Atlanta area. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. Gillian earned his B.A. from Emory University and completed his medical degree at the University of Arkansas, where he received an academic scholarship. He went on to complete his internship at the University of Tennessee and an ophthalmology residency in Pittsburgh.
During residency, Dr. Gillian participated in an international surgical mission in Samara, Russia at the hospital founded by Dr. Svyatoslav Fyodorov, a pioneer in refractive surgery. Today, Dr. Gillian is a highly experienced surgeon, having performed thousands of procedures. His specialties include premium implant cataract surgery, LASIK, glaucoma and diabetic eye care, macular degeneration management, eyelid surgery, and pterygium removal.
He is an active member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Georgia Society of Ophthalmology. Dr. Gillian currently practices at Georgia Eye Associates and is accepting new patients.

Very professional and detailed
My appointment was scheduled for 3:30 PM, and it is now past 5:30 PM. I have been waiting for over TWO HOURS and I am still waiting. Does the patient's time not matter at all? What is the point of making an appointment if patients are going to be kept waiting for hours? This is extremely disrespectful of people's time and incredibly disappointing. If you plan to come to this office, be prepared to spend your entire day waiting, regardless of your appointment time. This has been one of the worst experiences I've had at a medical office. I will not be coming back.
The doctor was very thorough and answered all my questions in a manner I could understand. I would give him five stars, but I waited in the office for 2 1/2, hours which I felt was excessive for doctor’s appointment.

Frank Winski -really good doctor -but three hours to get a eye exam is not good -your scheduling department needs to get its act together -not the doctors fault -the scheduling is a real problem !
Very unprofessional stuff i got there 2:50 and they saw me 5:30pm the lady who were picking the files were not picking in sequence she was randomly picking the patient files and after i got mad they saw me very unprofessional i will never go again and not recommend.
Dr. Strauss is an exceptional ophthalmologist. The staff technicians are all good. You may experience some wait time as one goes through the eye exam process due to other older patients may require more care from the doctors.
