Dr. Phil Alabata, MD is a board-certified ophthalmologist with over 20 years of experience in advanced eye surgery. He completed his ophthalmology residency at the prestigious Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, followed by a glaucoma fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta.
About Dr. Phil Alabata
A dedicated educator, Dr. Alabata has trained ophthalmology residents in both clinical and surgical settings at Grady Memorial Hospital and UF Health Jacksonville. During his nine years as a military physician, he led the creation of Fort Benning’s Warfighter Refractive Eye Surgery Program, delivering LASIK and PRK procedures to elite military personnel. He also served as Chief of Ophthalmology and Assistant Chief of Surgery at Martin Army Community Hospital.
Dr. Alabata is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and Society of Military Ophthalmologists.
He is committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care with expertise in cataract surgery, glaucoma treatment, and refractive procedures.

Amazing eye center. I got eye surgery and can see so much better than before! Everyone that works there is always in such a great mood, the facility is extremely clean and well kept, their instructions for eye care and what to do is very clear and easy to follow pre and post surgery. I will always recommend them to anyone that needs an eye appointment of any kind. Thank you.
