Sorry I took a while to send a review. As I’m writing this review today, I can see so much better especially without any glasses. Thank you Dr. Shumski for making this happen. You and the MaGruder Laser Vision staff were simply amazing and so caring while I prepared for the surgery on July 23rd. My cataract surgery on both eyes on the same day went extremely well. The staff were superb and made me feel at ease. Dr. Michael Shumski did a superb job handling both eyes on the same day. I left being able to see clearly. When I got home, the doctor texted me and I had a concern. He not only answered my text, but also called me. It was wonderful to know how much he cared. I went back the next day for my post op check up and I continued to interact with amazing people who answered all my questions and concerns. My eyes are terrific now and I never had any pain or a worry! The worst part of this whole experience was the drops you have to use! Other than that, this surgery with this caring team is a breeze! Thank you all for what you did for me! I highly recommend you to anyone needed cataract surgery!
I couldn’t be happier with my recent multifocal refractive cataract surgery. The entire experience—from the friendly patient concierge Savanna and Lauren, caring staff , and skilled surgeon Dr. Shumski —was exceptional. My vision has improved and it’s amazing to see the world so clearly again. Their warm care and pleasant attitude made the whole thing smooth and less stressful. I’m truly grateful for the outstanding care and would highly recommend this team to anyone considering the procedure.

Dr. Shumski and his entire staff made this process incredibly smooth and seamless. I highly recommend him if you need cataract surgery.

I went here a week ago to have custom laser "best distance" cataract surgery performed by Dr. Shumski on both eyes. The world is certainly brighter than I thought it was before the surgery! It's exciting to have clear, sharp eyesight after close to seventy years of weak vision. Now I'll be able to see well when I swim at the gym or go to the beach, driving at night won't be a problem, and I won't have to fumble for my glasses first thing every morning. A big thanks to Dr. Shumski, Tara, and the rest of the staff!

The employees that greet you at the front desk are very personable, and every area of the office is clean and comfortable. The office procedures they have in place are such that you do not have to wait more than a few moments at each stage of your appointment and every employee that takes care of you is efficient and friendly. The concierge format works well. My concierge, Reagan, was available to answer questions or concerns and if she was not immediately available, someone else was there to respond. Dr. Shumski is very professional and listened to my needs and preferences before giving me options about a replacement lens after cataract surgery, and the day after surgery follow-up appointment with Dr. Callaway was efficient, personable, and thorough. I would highly recommend Magruder Laser Vision in College Park.
The doctors and staff at Magruder Laser Vision College Park were wonderful! Everyone, from the front desk to the surgical suite, was friendly and professional and truly made me feel comfortable. My surgeon, Dr. Shumski, is the best and I loved Dr. Nguyen who handled my post-op visits. I highly recommend this practice.
