About Dr. Scott Greenstein
Dr. Scott Greenstein has built an impressive career in ophthalmology, combining clinical excellence with innovation and teaching. After graduating cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where he served as president of the Alpha Epsilon Delta pre-medical honor society, he earned his medical degree with honors from Cornell University Medical College and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship in internal medicine and ophthalmology residency at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, later joining its faculty before moving to Connecticut in 1987 to join a multi-specialty ophthalmology group practice.
Throughout his career, Dr. Greenstein has served in numerous leadership roles, including director of medical education at the Connecticut Eye Research Foundation and ophthalmology section chief at Waterbury Hospital and Griffin Hospital. In 2007, he joined the full-time staff of Mass. Eye and Ear, where he specializes in complex and routine cataract surgery and manages patients with challenging ophthalmic diagnostic cases. A clinical innovator, he has designed surgical instruments to improve toric intraocular lens implantation accuracy and authored numerous publications on surgical techniques, rare clinical findings, and patient care. Dr. Greenstein is a diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and a fellow of both the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American College of Surgeons.

I had the pleasure of being seen by Dr. Greenstein. Dr. Greenstein was my second opinion for cataract surgery. The office was highly professional and thorough. After meeting with Dr. Greenstein and hearing what he had to say i was completely comfortable and at ease. I feel very fortunate to know that he will be performing my surgery.
Superb doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Greenstein for the past 11 years, initially for an eye infection which brought me to MEEI. Feel very fortunate to have him as my ophthalmologist and would highly recommended him to family members and friends.
Dr. Greenstein is a super Doc with a great way of explaining everything and encourages questions from you. Explanations are spot on and he makes you feel comfortable in the way he answers your question. I'd recommend him to anyone.
