Dr. Rosenthal practices a "high tech, high touch" approach that blends a warm, personalized patient relationship with state-of-the-art technology. He focuses particularly on complex anterior segment surgery and is a leader in minimally invasive cataract surgery, having developed and patented a non-invasive topical anesthetic technique and pioneered the use of multifocal intraocular lenses as the first surgeon to use them in New York State.

Potential patients beware. Dr. Rosenthal is at the end of his useful life as a surgeon and will lie to you to cover up surgical errors when they happen. I had a family member go to him for a lens implantation that became a multi-month saga. Old man Ken installed the lens inside out and took six weeks to realize what he had done before rushing into another traumatic operation. When questioned, he gaslit the patient for scratching their eye and flipping the lens (inside of the eyeball). Apart from the quality of the medical care from Rosenthal, the office staff is highly unprofessional and the office itself is substandard. The office staff made billing mistakes. In the waiting room, we heard them making fun of some of the elderly patients after they left the waiting room. The waiting room smells like urine due to the number of elderly patients they see and lack of cleaning, and there are visible cockroach traps under the furniture with dead roaches. If the above doesn't concern you, take a look at his his hand tremors and ask yourself if this is someone you trust with your vision. Given the options in NYC, you can certainly do better than this place and this doctor. Go to an academic medical center and save yourself the regret.
Dr rosenthyl is one of the best doctors in NYC if you want someone to take care of your eyes he is the doctor you want to go to my mom did a laser surgery in her right and everything went smoothly because she was in the hands of Dr Rosenthyl she is pain free and no complications if you want the top doctor in the city he is the one and yours eyes will be better than before his staff is amazing they take care of you like family and I would not take my mom or any of our family to no other doctor than him Dr rosenthyl is the doctor to go to if you want the best work and pain free
! Dr Rosenthal ruined my vision and quality of life. He never informed me that I would need reading glasses for everything close. He only asked if I read a lot!!! I am now left with vestibular dysfunction because I lost my nearsighted vision and I get dizzy and feel off balance!! Dr Rosenthal has absolutely NO Compassion!! He is in it for the money!!!His assistants even told me that he never explains and informs his patients of the risks to surgery!!! The fact of the matter is that I didn’t even need cataract surgery. I was told by my original Opthomalogist who moved far away. That’s the tragedy for me!!!! If I could give zero stars I would!!! Stay away from this dr!!!!
