Totally terrific. Professional, competent and personal. And there are candies and fun books in the waiting room. I love the setting, the doctor and the staff. I trust her - and was able to go to a party right after she removed my cataracts. You can't go wrong with her.

I recently had cataract surgery performed by Dr. Nancy Coles. She was my ophthalmologist for several years attending to some vision issues. Recently she advised me that my cataracts needed to be treated. The office manager arranged all of the details, including a lengthy plan of aftercare. The surgery went well at Manhattan Eye and Ear. (I preferred the team that coordinated the first eye, including the anaesthesiologist, who briefed me and talked me through his procedure in the OR.) Dr Coles office is a well managed office comprised of six professional employees who serve at different functions. My surgery was successful for which the Coles team deserves a great deal of credit.
WARNING - DANGEROUS! NOT SEEN AFTER REPORTING FLASHING LIGHTSHOWS AND FLOATERS -- If you want an unreliable, rushed office visit, unconcerned, overbooked, uncaring eye doctor / ophthalmologist, then Nancy Coles is the right person for you! After a year of being her patient and considering her as my cataract surgeon, I had an emergency situation with regard to eye flashing and eye floaters. Her office is directly across the street from my building so it is quite easy for me to come over at any point and I made that very clear when requesting an appointment. On Wednesday, I called the office regarding the floaters and flashing, they said that the doctor is in surgery, they will speak to her and call me back. I never received a return call. I called back on Thursday, and said the flashing occurred in the middle of the night and that I was worried about a possible detached retina and could she see me today. The office said they would talk to the doctor and see what they could do. They never called back. On Friday, I called my previous eye doctor in Westchester and she said drive in immediately and that she would somehow squeeze me into her afternoon schedule. She saw me and thankfully there is no detached retina, just a detached vitreous which is quite common. After I got back from the Westchester eye doctor’s office I received a voicemail from Nancy Coles office saying that if the flashing lightshow / floaters is continuing they could schedule me for next Tuesday! Obviously, this office is driven by profits, not by patient needs.
Dr Coles is so fabulous. Her staff is also amazing and everyone is so very helpful and lovely. I highly recommend!!
Excellent doctor-.highly respected by other directors I get field . Very positive experience in every way. Office is run professionally and Dr Cole is extremely supportive and explains procedures and knowledgeable staff. Environment decor/ comfort of office also enhances the experience.

Dr. Coles is very knowledgeable , compassionate and has a strong work ethic. She is by far the best ophthalmologist to provide you with high quality care.
